Trailside Nature Museum & Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, Cross River
4700 acres of rolling countryside, Westchester county’s largest park. Great for hiking/walking, birding, cross-country skiing, the extremely varied terrain ranges from deep hollows to ridges that rise up more than 800 feet. The Museum presents permanent and seasonal exhibits that focus on aspects of the natural world and the human history of Ward Pound Ridge Reservation and the surrounding area. Specimens of birds, mammals, plants, insects, and minerals are also on display.
