Jimmy's Buzz Guide Review:
A heartwarming film with a few too many flatulence jokes but it a good choice for parents looking for a film to delight and amuse their youngsters for an hour and a half.

Good Boy!
Owen(Liam Aiken) is a good kid with nice parents (Kevin Nealon and Molly Shannon), but their business keeps them moving from house to house, and that's never too good for a child. The parents make their living renovating homes, selling them, and then moving on to the next one. It's a lucrative business, but it's a very disruptive life for Owen. As soon as he settles in to a house, he's forced to start all over again in a new part of town and a new school. No wonder his dream is to have a dog of his own and no wonder he’s determined enough to make it happen. So he starts a dog-walking business to pay for the dog he wants to adopt, and to prove to his parents that he’s responsible enough to have his own pet. He chooses a wire-haired terrier from the local animal shelter, but he has no idea just how unique his new pup “Hubble” will turn out to be. When the dog sneaks out of the house late one night, Owen wonders what’s up, and sets out find out. Needless to say the young boy is more than surprised to discover Hubble’s destination, a flying saucer. Things become even more astounding when some glitch in the dog's mysterious communication device leaves Owen able to converse with his pet (voiced by Matthew Broderick) and every other dog in town. This new ability comes in handy during his duties as dog walker. When a couple of local bullies catch Owen having conversations with his four-legged clients, their teasing increases. Already suffering from some insecurity, Owen is desperate to have someone understand his plight. Fortunately he finds a human friend he can share his secret skills and knowledge with. This extra help becomes necessary once the breadth of Hubble’s mission is uncovered. Sent from the Dog Star Sirius, the insignificant-looking terrier (whose real name is K3942) is supposed to report on whether or not dogs are fulfilling their mission, to rule the planet. If The Greater Dane (the ruler of all dogs) determines that her canine subjects have failed, the entire species will be recalled from Earth. Needless to say, that's not about to happen.
